BiO Chickens grow up on our farm, are processed on our farm, and are distributed from our farm and is only available through select outlets and the Farmgate Markets, it is not available in any supermarket or convenience store.

raised naturally on pasture and processed locally in Malanda.
Happy Hogs pastured pork: superior tasting pork produced from locally pastured duroc
large white cross pigs. They are kept in the paddock and fed Kialla organic pig ration.
Our farm is located on the Atherton Tablelands in North Queensland, a picturesque area
close to the Lake Eacham crater lake. We have recently commenced the process to get
our farm certified as biodynamic with NASAA.

I grow biodynamic produce on my double lot in Tolga on the Atherton Tablelands. Currently I have ginger, turmeric, aloe (fresh leaf, plants), pumpkins, bananas and chillies. Jervoise Station is owned by Kerry and Greg Jonsson. Jervoise was purchased in 1965 by Greg's late father, Alf Jonsson who was a vegetable farmer on the Atherton Tablelands.

The Network for Sustainable & Diversified Agriculture, NSDA for short, is the not for profit organiser of Farmgate Market.

In response to requests from local farmers we have established a serviced stall that allows for them to sell their produce locally and attend the market when possible... they are very busy growing your food, though will come down occasionally to meet their customers.

As the food is local it is seasonal, seasonality is natures way of insuring we consume a wide range of plant nutrients. Seasonality also means you will not find varities of produce all year round, with the exception of banana's and pineapples.

You will however find fresh local produce the has not been transported over long distances, cold stored for long periods or gas ripened. Buying fresh local produce is healthy for you, the environment, our community and our economy.
