 Permaculture Solutions for a Changing World - Kuranda 24 – 27 September

 

The Australasian Permaculture Convergence APC10 is a massive event with a stunning array of hands-on workshops and talks in a range of streams including sustainable approaches to agriculture and land management. There will also be film screenings, trade displays, performers and a Schools Gardens Workshop to engage teachers, parents and kids with some of Australia's most experienced school gardens designers.

Guest speakers include Bill Mollison, permaculture co-founder, Major General Michael Jeffery, former Australian Governor-General, Costa Georgiadis, from Costa's Gardening Odyssey and Darryl Hannah, actor and environmentalist.


There are over 55 presentations in themed session streams running on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday. These cover an array of topics relating to Permaculture in context: Agriculture, Humanitarian & Community Development; Education; Permaculture Training; Indigenous Communities; Urban development; food security; energy and waste; technology and innovation; Infrastructure and planning; Community Health and more. Presenters are coming from across the country and there will be a strong focus on  the permaculture movements' future and developing region-wide responses to the future challenges of Climate Change and Peak Oil.

There is also onsite campling, child care and delicious catering of seasonal, local, fresh produce from the Atherton Tablelands.

A Gala Dinner will be held on on Sunday the 26th September with gourmet local food, keynote speaker Daryl Hannah and after dinner entertainment Zennith.  Only $45 per person.  Please go to the website to register.
