The preliminary findings from the survey on Natural Resource Management on Australian farms 2004-05 have been released on the ABS website including: * more than 9 out of 10 farmers (91% of agricultural establishments) undertook some form of activity to prevent or manage NRM issues * weeds were the most commonly reported NRM issue, and weed-related issues affected 73% of agricultural businesses *approximately 63% of agricultural establishments reporting the presence of native vegetation undertook some form of vegetation management activities during the year.
