The following grants available through the Foundation of Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR) for communities of less than 10,000.  

The Small Grants for Rural Communities program has two rounds, closing 28th March and 30^th September.  FNQ is a specific target area for this grant but unfortunately no applications have been received.  I am sure there are organisations out there who could well do with up to $5,000 in funding for activities or equipment.
