Permaculture Cairns Group next meeting

An invitation is extended to all to attend Permaculture Cairns monthly meeting. Permaculture Cairns is an open community organization with the education of Permaculture and its practical application in people's daily lives at its core.

Date: Saturday August 25th, 2007
Time: 11:00am
Place: 8 Bosanko Street, Manunda. Bosanko Street lies between Birch Street & Gatton Street. (Near Sportsworld fitness center).

Rough Programme:
A brief meeting to update everyone on the progress of the group.
Computer lesson to help everyone access important info about group.
A tour of the place, looking at design.
Practical workshop to include the construction of a compost pile ,
turning in a green manure crop, spreading compost & mulching a raised
bed, compost tea making.
A bite to eat & a cup of tea.

Obviously, comfy clothes & shoes to do some work and gloves if you wish as it may involve handling manure!
I'll bake bread (6 loaf recipe) that morning (another workshop idea for another day) and provide the tea if people could bring a plate to eat off, a cup for the tea and something to put on a delicious slice of freshly baked bread. That could be something to make yourself a sandwich or your favorite jam, up to you!
